Oh, Annie

In the midst of packing up my freshman dorm room, completing finals, saying goodbye to friends I wont see for another 3 months, and all the other emotional, stressful, lengthy things that have been going on in the last week, I have failed to blog, AGAIN. My final projects will be posted soon (when I go home and have a few weeks to catch back up on real life) but until then, I wanted to post work of one of my favorite photographers, Annie Leibovitz.

When I am low on inspiration, feeling down or overwhelmed, all her work changes my mood. Some of her most famous work: the cover of Rolling Stones with John Lennon and Yoko Ono taken a few hours before Johns death, the first family photos of Tom Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes and their child, the cover of Vogue of Miley Cyrus topless, and the list goes on and on.

Annie started in San Francisco as well! There is also a great documentary out about her by PBS, called life through the lens. Its amazing, everyone from Yoko Ono, to Donald Trump, to Mick Jagger (she toured with the Rolling Stones when her career was taking off)  and more are interviewed in the movie about working with her.

I hope you all are having a great start to summer, I will be traveling the world in 80 days (actually the U.S. in 60) and photographing all along the way. Stop by again!
