Inspiration: Jim Kazanjian
Photographer Jim Kazanjian creates images that let the mind wander. I wouldnt mind living in one his 'homes.'
"Through his black and white images, Jim Kazanjian aims to redress the “misunderstanding that photography has a kind of built-in objectivity…to defamiliarize the familiar.” He pushes photography to its limits, tricking the human eye and challenging viewers to second-guess the objective nature of photos."

3X4
For my conceptual class, we had a very simple assignment that took a lot more work than I had originally ever planned. I spent (most) of an entire rainy weekend molding and twisting and cutting and shooting and editing this project together.
We were to choose 3 different objects and create 4 different concepts per item. I chose a 1) paper clip 2) avocado 3) cotton-- in which I made all square format.
These are my favorites from each.

Sutter Street Blues
The best part about San Francisco Fleet Week is living next to a Marine Hotel! The past few nights a few Marines that were visiting gathered at night to play some jazz music- making Sutter Street all the more entertaining. On Sunday night they played for a bout 30 minutes solid- all improv; Lady Gaga, Micheal Jackson, Gwen Stefani and more popular songs. I saw the group again this evening while they were playing one last quick little show before they all separated and packed up their equipment and left the city, so I took some shots.
